Dark Couple Holders is a set of two napkin rings which feature two separate designs, each depicting a different coral. These sophisticated additions to a dining table were handcrafted and etched by the artist, according to traditional methods. The surface of each piece was given a rustproofing treatment so that these one-of-a-kind accessories can be long-lasting companions to dinners and parties.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Gaia Di Lorenzo is an artist and educator based in Rome.
Her research revolves around collective behaviors and their role in self-identification processes. She works on the complexity of images and weaves levels of meaning by modulating different techniques and incorporating sources from a number of contexts.
Gaia holds a BA in Literature and Philosophy from the University of Tor Vergata and a BFA from Goldsmiths University of London. Among her exhibitions: in 2022 ITALICS, Monopoli curated by Vincenzo De Bellis; Persona, ADA, Rome; in 2021 MATERIA NOVA curated by Massimo Mininni at the Gallery of Modern Art in Rome; Una Boccata d'Arte, Puglia curated by Bruno Barsanti, Elpis Foundation and Galleria Continua.
